The 2011 birthing season was amazing
there were 9 sets of twins, 3 single births
and surprisingly a set of triplets
As of June 23, 2012
we have 2 new (fawn) babies - twins
and 5 more (doe) Mom's
are ready to deliver anytime.

The Story of Buttercup
Buttercup was born on
May 25 2010.
Initially we assumed he was actually a she. It wasn't until
mid August we discovered
we had made a mistake.
The reason for the mistake was simple. He was the smallest and most frail of the fawns born this season.
OBVIOUSLY
BUTTERCUP WAS A SHE.
It wasn't until I was doing their morning feed in mid August that I discovered
"LIL' MISS BUTTERCUP"
had two small buds sprouting just above her eyebrows.
It was then we discovered that "LIL' MISS" was actually
"LIL' SIR BUTTERCUP"
This discovery posed a dilemma. Did we need
a NAME CHANGE?
The answer was simple and actually provided by
"WALT DISNEY"
BAMBI WAS A BOY!!!
"SO IS BUTTERCUP" !!!
